Rule of Thirds is a creative collective and podcast founded by three multidisciplinary artists: Berns, Mike, and Jude. We’re brought together by a shared love for art, design, and culture, and each of us brings a unique perspective shaped by different paths and experiences.
Raised Black and British, with Ghanaian and Nigerian roots, our work and conversations are grounded in the richness of our backgrounds and the creative worlds we’ve come to know.

None of us took a straight path into the creative industry. Along the way, we’ve each faced the reality of how difficult it can be to access opportunities in the creative field, especially for Black creatives in the UK.

Over time, we discovered each other’s work online and began connecting through group chats and shared discussions about our experiences. Those conversations grew into friendship and, eventually, the idea for Rule of Thirds — a space to share our insights, learn from one another, and create something meaningful for the wider community.
